茂木大臣から、中国の海警法に関する深刻な懸念を表明し、四大臣は、東シナ海、南シナ海情勢について、力による一方的な現状変更の試みに強く反対することで一致しました。
The Quad is a key pillar of Australia’s international agenda and complements our other bilateral, regional and multilateral engagement, including with ASEAN. Quad partners are strong supporters of ASEAN centrality within a region in which all countries are sovereign, independent and resilient.

The Ministers also discussed countering disinformation, counterterrorism, maritime security, the urgent need to restore the democratically elected government in Burma, and the priority of strengthening democratic resilience in the broader region.
The Ministers emphasized their commitment to upholding a rules-based international order, underpinned by respect for territorial integrity and sovereignty, rule of law, transparency, freedom of navigation in the international seas and peaceful resolution of disputes.
＜感想＞
2021/2/16の日英首脳電話会談と違い、上記プレスを確認する限り、「中国の海警法」に触れていたのは日本だけだった。
中国に対して一番警戒すべき日本が、対中国では(引き続き)主導すべきであろう。
